Crisis at the Threshold
From his prison cell, Armand Dillon designs a plot to defeat his enemies and regain his prominence as the President and CEO of TCP Corporation. He solicits the help of the only convicts who will be on parole shortly. They are a strange lot, unreliable, flawed, but apparently willing to do his bidding for a price.
The other characters in this third book of a trilogy are a mixture of imperfect but developing humans at various crossroads in their lives. Lucinda is considering a new career, Stu and Bennet are very likely to betray Armand, and Shaman Pi is given a task he is barely capable of executing.

The Last King
Keepsake Spiral Bound–Autographed
In 1961 I was class teacher of Grade 6 at the Rudolf Steiner School in New York City. I noticed how much the students had changed from the previous year. Then I marveled at the wisdom in the curriculum that placed Ancient Roman History right in the middle of the year. It occurred to me that something experiential around inner self-discipline and authority might be very helpful; so I wrote the play The Last King for them.
It was a large class; 35 boys and girls. We had some extraordinarily dramatic individuals that needed sufficient challenge. They performed it beautifully in the early spring and as their teacher I found the play tremendously helpful. (Some today are Waldorf teachers, Waldorf parents and grandparents, but I won’t squeal on them.)
It was originally printed in a very inexpensive, simple version, stapled together. That edition is still available on this web site for $ 5.95. I have redone the original in larger print and heavier paper for easier reading and also to last longer. It is also autographed by the author. Many teachers found this new version easier to deal with in a class situation. Some students also were happy to save it as a keep sake from their grade six experience. This $ 7.95 version is spiral bound and keeps much better over the long term. Some teachers have actually handed it down to the next year’s class of sixth graders. It makes good reading even if not performed. By doubling roles and reducing Chorus, Guards, and Temple Priests it is suitable for anywhere from 10 to 35 students.
